The Retirement Lie Small Business Owners Believe

In this episode of Method To My Money, I share a real conversation with a small business owner working 60 to 70 hours a week, building something he’s proud of, but hoping it will “just work out” when retirement comes. Here’s the sobering truth. According to U.S. Small Business Administration data, only about half of businesses survive five years. Only about 30% ever successfully sell. If your retirement plan depends entirely on your business selling someday, that’s not a strategy. That’s concentration risk.
